Hi

I designed my first template in Mail Designer Pro2 then shared it as a MailChimp Template - all fine! I can see the template and can preview it in the MailChimp admin area everything works fine. I then logged into the admin area of joomla on my site to tryout my first campaign but was surprised to find that my newly created template wasn't in the templates section of Joomlamailer as one would expect! So I did a bit of looking around to find out what I had done wrong.

I found I had to manually export the template from Mailchimp and then upload it in joomla. I tried that but it just gives me a HTML file and JoomlaMailer requires a .Zip file??? upon more research I found a post on here where someone had the same problem and you offered a solution (or so I thought!!!) here's what you posted:

Please refer to this post, which explains how to create a template for joomlamailer: www.joomlamailer.com/topic.html?id=274

Kind regards,
Pete

Unfortunately the link no longer exists and throws up a 404 error page.

So I am still non the wiser as to how to correctly prepare my template for Joomlamailer or how to upload it as a zip file.

Please can you point me in the right direction?

Kind regards

Andi

Hi Andi,

You have to edit the HTML file downloaded from Mailchimp and add the Joomlamailer placeholders. You find the instructions here in forum in the Docs, tips & tricks area.
