File too large

I'm trying to import a template that I exported from Mailchimp to put to use in Joomlamailer. I followed all steps mentioned here:

When trying to upload the .zip-file into Joomla, I always get a the error: "File too large!"

I checked the file, it seems to be 3kb. So I'm guessing it is not related to Joomlamailer. I also exported one of the default templates and tried to upload again after renaming the .zip-file. Same error here...

Any clues as to what might cause this?

Joomla! version: 2.5.4
PHP version: 5.3.8
MySQL version: 5.0.95

I'm getting this problem, too. Also, when I download a template through the Joomla interface it shows up as a zip file of 1kb files with nothing in them.

I think it might be some issue with the compression. As far as uploading, you can easily skip both of these problems by using FTP or your hosting file manager to move or copy your templates to and from the site.
