Greetings.
It would be great for the next new user to have a complete Getting Started.
At the time of this writing, the Getting Started Setup for Joomailer Chimpmail starts and stops at:
1) Setup API Key.
But I find after ( and knowing this is incomplete) reading the forum that several more steps are required.
2) Enable Joomailer MailChimp Signup plugin
2a) Select your chosen list in the Mailchimp Signup plugin "parameters"
So now, the question comes to me: How to flag/select a registration subscription (for CB)
In this thread:
www.joomailer.com/Forum/Registration-Plu...n-t-add-to-list.html
I found this:
# Created a new field in CB for a checkboad to indicate a user has subscribed to a newsletter.
# Went to Components | Newsletter | Lists.
# In the Groups column, for the mailing list that I want users to join, click Manage then New and selected the CB checkbox that I created from the Assign CommunityBuilder Field.
Well, after doing that, trying to think ahead, I added my new field to the CB registration page.
What I found then was that an new registration field "Sign Up To Our Newsletter" shows up on my
CB registration page. So I took this in faith, and removed my field from the registration. I believe in cyber Gods,
so I kept my field as defined above in my CB user database.
Subsequently, my registration/subscriptions are working. And yes, I see that the response to the confirmation
email sets up the joomailer mailchimp subscriber.
This message is for both a notice to staff of the clear up setup. Tell us what to expect, and what to look for
in a completed installation. And to notify the next customer of what I find to be needed help text.
Thank you.
Larry
P.S. I'd like to know how to change the label "Sign Up To Our Newsletter"
