OK after using the system for a few days I have a couple of ideas for you. These may very well be already planned but I'll list them anyways 
1) The ability for Jomsocial customers to be able to insert upcoming events in the newsletters, maybe like 1 title and image and then 4 more just titles.
2) Column sorting on the users list in the, sort by name, email, rating and ID
3) The ability to either parse/show plugins in the newsletter, or in my specific case the ability to add several advertising modules/positions in the newsletter template. Could even pull them from the banner manager???
That's a pretty short list which say's a lot about the quality and features of your component! I would normally be able to come up with dozens of suggestions for the typical component, just because that's the type of guy i am
