Hi,
I'm using Community Builder for the registration module and I noticed during testing that when a registrant would click the link in the registration confirmation email, there was an error at the top of the web page - "Unable to load listSubscribe()! Code=250 Msg=FNAME must be provided - Please enter a value"
I found in the forums the following threads that mention this issue:
www.joomlamailer.com/topic.html?id=108
www.joomlamailer.com/topic.html?id=109
I'm also not using NAME but FNAME and LNAME fields in the CB registration form.
In neither post was the question answered as to whether JM supports using FNAME and LNAME, does it?
Also, what does ticking the "Required" check box for a field in the merge section of a list actually do? If I deselect the required checkbox for FNAME and LNAME the registrant is added to the list and it appears that the first and last names are there in the list as well.
Thanks,
Herb

Hello Herb,
Sorry for the late response. I missed that post somehow. However, Joomlamailer automatically populates the FNAME and LNAME from the user's name field. It splits the name by the space character. The first part goes into FNAME, everything else into LNAME.
When you check the "required" checkbox for a merge field it will be set as required in MailChimp. If no value is supplied it will throw the mentioned error. Since Joomlamailer always populates EMAIL, FNAME and LNAME you don't have to set them as required.
Kind regards,
Pete
