CB Email Confirmation Fails

I registered under CB 1.2.3 and 1.0.10, then I got this error. So I upgraded JMC to 1.0.13 I still get this error trying to confirm. One thing...I did "Confirm" myself manually from the backend.

It's an odd case, granted, but maybe it should fail in a more friendly manner or something?

Unable to load listSubscribe()! Code=-90 Msg=You must specify a email_address value for the listSubscribe method
Error: headers already sent in joomailermailchimpsignup.php on line 350.
Stopped at line 858 in routertools.php

Ask if you need more info.

Hi,

When did you actually see the error? Was it after you manually confirmed yourself or when you clicked the activation link?

Did you manually confirm yourself from insde CB or from the default user manager?

The latter, in the browser tab that opened after the click.

From inside CB.

I have been working on other MC related issues like the Subscribe module (BTW, AllChimpRegister is the one that works, just wait for the confirmation email before you decide it doesn't), but I think you should be able to replicate or refute this pretty easily now.

I am also sure that the address in question was not already on the MC list. If that were the case, anyway, the error message should have been human-friendly :)

I have another CB 1.2.3 related error. Implementing the Privacy Plugin, which lets users hide tabs and fields in their Profile, trying to hide the Additional Information tab on my profile, I get : "Unable to load listSubscribe()! Code=-90 Msg=You must specify a merge_vars value for the listUpdateMember method "

Is that one of yours? Or is it CB's?

Hi,

This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime you can perform the following fix listed here:

As for the other error, we will aim to make it more sensical.

Super, Chris. That fix you referenced, moving that one line, seems to fix both the registration issue (CAN now activate from the activation email)- Verified by logging in. Also seems to fix the error upon setting of privacy on a tab, and I also verified that the privacy settings are working.
