is there any way to limit the size of images in the content? i have a client who has no idea about image sizing etc so all the images in his content he writes is resized via php. obviously this means that the actual images are often far bigger than would be appropriate for the email content images. also he reuses the images in lots of different sizes around the site so resizing them all to fit the template wouldnt be any good either.

Hello Ioken,
Currently we have no plans to implementing something like this. Using large pictures and having them resized on the website is really bad practice as it's reducing the image quality and is also wasting traffic, which means its slowing down the loading times of the page. You should teach your client to resize the images to a proper size before using them on the website. There are plenty of websites offering that service. It takes only a few seconds and is much less complicated as using photoshop, for example: www.shrinkpictures.com/
Kind regards,
Pete

What about this case: I have images that are properly formatted for my website and the right size for that article on the site. But I definitely want all images smaller with a consistent width in my newsletters. I really need them resized for the newsletter. I don't want to have to rewrite content to be specially formatted for the newsletter. That would pretty much defeat the purpose of the great integration for me.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi BeTheDance,
Fair enough. That makes perfectly sense and I can understand your concerns.
We're currently creating a plugin system for the content types so that other developers can integrate their system with joomlamailer. Once this is done we're going to add more options for K2 articles such as an option to include images and, as requested, a way to define the image size.
Kind regards,
Pete

I was wondering if there was an update on this issue. All of the content on my site is configured to include a picture that is 300px wide. The images are sized properly for that requirement. However, the newsletter template I have designed is a two column template with a 600px width. The images in my site content are two wide. I need a way to change the width of content images, or at the very least, remove the images from the content. Hopefully there is a solution, because your component is very useful and otherwise well designed. I really hope I am able to use joomlamailer as my newsletter solution.

Same for me. Images in my intro text are being displayed far too large for the email and there is no way of resizing them. I cant use the component at all unless I can have control over the images being placed into it...
